My Opinion

Marvelous, Emotional and Stupendous

The book, Doomsday Book of Fairy Tales by Emily Brewes can be defined in these three words. A book which takes you on a fairy tale ride in a post- apocalyptic world scenario.

I, totally loved reading the book. For me it was the best book I read this year. The book not only connects you emotionally but also reminds you of your childhood with its fairy tales.

Character Portrayal

Our Protagonist, Jesse is a lady with a strong willpower and survival instincts in the book, Doomsday Book of Fairy Tales by Emily Brewes. She is on a quest which is dangerous and there is least hope of survival.

But, the character that I am in love with is Doggo. A friend and a perfect companion.

The Tertiary characters have all been painted the same way. All for survival.

Narrative Style

The book, Doomsday Book of Fairy Tales by Emily Brewes follows a non- linear approach. The whole story is narrated from Jesse's point of view. Vocabulary is simple and understanding.

The author has supported the story with fairy tales which I have not read in any other book.

A post- apocalyptic world perfectly entangled with the fairy tales.
