Why I Picked The Book?

Reading books is my hobby and passion both. I am a thriller and horror genre lover. So, I started reading on Wattpad also. This was recommended by Wattpad as a horror genre story. I liked the first and second part of the story so decided to read the third instalment also.

Author Introduction

The Vision( The Mystery of the boy with blue eyes) is written by Biswajit Pattnaik, which is third story in The Vision series. Biswajit Patnaik started his writing career in 2019 and his first book " The Hidden Truth" is a collection of four short crime thrillers. He writes mainly in crime and supernatural genre. The series "The Vision" is an award winning series on Wattpad.

Blurb

An orphanage is turned into a heap of ash. All the children in the orphanage died in the fire. Inspector Madhav is informed about the accident and he reaches the orphanage. A police constable informs Madhav that some children are still alive as they were out during the fire. When asked the children said that they saw someone in the building.

Abhay again had a vision about a ruined building. While investigating Inspector Madhav encounters a ghost of a small boy. Madhav tries to confront the supervisor of the orphanage, Gopal about the incident. Madhav also contacts Sibashish who is the owner of the orphanage.

After all this ruckus, Madhav contacts Abhay and Vipul and tell them about the case. They decided to visit the orphanage building once more. After reaching they started investigating and in this pursuit, Abhay encounters the ghost of a small boy with blue eyes and it looked like he wanted to say something.

Who was this boy and who killed him? Who set the orphanage on fire? What other things will get unravelled during the investigation?

Characters Portrayal

The protagonist, Abhay is a very strong character who despite of having so many frightful visions is all set to unravel the truth. The tertiary characters, Vipul and Inspector Madhav are also helpful to the protagonist in every manner. The antagonist in this story is also marvellous. The encounters of Abhay with the ghosts will definitely give you chills. The vocabulary used by the writer is very simple and understandable. 

My Opinion

I have always been a fan of mystery and horror stories. So, this story definitely fascinated me. The visions are really frightening and the mystery is also good. The plot is good and the climax is totally unexpected. This is indeed an award winning horror story. I would surely recommend the story for all the horror lovers.

Narrative Style

The writer has indeed done a great job. He has compiled a chilling horror story using simple vocabulary. The arrangement of the incidents are also in a very sequential manner.
