My Opinion

Suspenseful, Emotional and Mysterious

The Lost Girls by Heather Young is a masterpiece in itself. The book revolves around only two narrations and is written brilliantly. I liked the fact that the author has focused on the love between sisters and importance of family. The plot is marvelous with some astonishing secrets. The sudden turn of facts were so unnerving that you would not be able to put the book down. I would rather say that The Lost Girls is a 5 star book.

Also, I liked the cover of book as it totally reflects the plot. One of the best mystery and thriller book of this year.

Character Portrayal

My favorite character in The Lost Girls by Heather Young would be Justine, The author has portrayed her as a strong mother of two, who for her girls takes an unexpected opportunity.

Lucy and Lilith are such diverse characters in spite of being sisters. They are miles apart in their dreams and ambitions. But, still they love each other and have held on to themselves in difficult times also.

The tertiary characters have equally contributed to the story making it a gem.

Narrative Style

The Lost Girls by Heather Young has been narrated from Justine and Lucy's view point. Language is simple and easy to understand. The events switch between past and present, but does not confuse the readers.
