Blurb

Sukumar Roy Sahitya Samagra Vol 1 is a compilation of poetry and short stories. The stories are mainly focused on youth and their problems. Some of the poems are satirical and funny like "HaJaBaRaLa" which throws light on everyday life of normal people.

The stories like "Pagla Dashu" and "Bahurupi" are printed as separate books also.

My Opinion

The book, Sukumar Roy Sahitya Samagra Vol 1 by Satyajit Ray and Partha Basu is a remarkable and excellent classic. Stories of "Pagla Dashu" are so funny that you are definitely laughing while reading it. Also, to talk about the poems, they are full of rhythm and comedy. It was my first time reading poems and I have really enjoyed all of them. The book will take you on an imaginary ride to your childhood memories. I would highly recommend the book. Also, 5 stars for the book.

Character Portrayal

Sukumar Roy Sahitya Samagra is mainly focused on youth and children. All the characters are either children or their parents. The book depicts the power of imagination of children and how the harness their talents while living in the social compulsions. Some of the characters are imaginary and equally funny.

Narrative Style

The poetry is basically satirical and the stories are simply narrated keeping in mind the age group reading them i.e. children. The best part is that some of the stories are illustrated with pictures also.
