Author Introduction

The Orphan King is written by Tyler Chin-Tanner and graphics is illustrated by James Boyle.

Tyler Chin-Tanner is a teacher and humanitarian. But, his love for comics inspired him to establish A Wave Blue World with his wife Wendy in 2005. Tyler’s work has been featured in some reputed magazines as well. In addition, Tyler has edited some famous anthology series also, like All We Ever Wanted and Dead Beats.

James Boyle is an illustrator, comic artist and art teacher. Besides being the co-creator of The Orphan King, James is the artist behind The Philly Tarot Deck.

Blurb

Prince Kaidan trains with her aunt, Lady Taleissa in the Isle of Women. Kaidan’s father, The King, expects him to prove himself worthy and capable for the Kingdom. But, when Kaidan comes back, he finds his Kingdom in ruins. He is clueless and helpless.
But, he finds some friends in the forest who, eventually, save him from beasts of the jungle.

My Opinion

The Orphan King by Tyler Chin-Tanner is the first book in the series. I liked the plot as well as the cover. In addition, the graphics are excellent. I am eagerly waiting for the second book to catch up on all the adventure. A perfect read for a beginner.
