Goddess always wanted to write which she accomplished by writing on Tumblr. And, while doing this she thought of writing a whole book. When she is not writing, she is buying new crystals, planning vacations and posting on her patreon.

Blurb

Arlissa also made a choice when she move to Los Angeles with her best friend, Alejandra. She meets Xavier and falls in love with him. But, Savannah, Xavier's ex- girlfriend warns Arlissa that he is bad news. Still, Arlissa wants to run on the dangerous path where she herself do not know what will happen.

She wants to play her cards right but future has something else in store for her. Arlissa need to find out her true identity and what she wants from her life. What will she do when she finds a dead boyfriend in her house? Too many questions need to be answered.

My Opinion

Writings on the Wall- Arlissa's Story by Goddess A. Brouette, is indeed a story where teenagers do not know what they want from life. In this dilemma, they commit some grave mistakes which they regret for life. The plot is slow for first few chapters. But, after that it picks up pace with vital turning points. Although, I was disappointed with the climax. The only fact which I liked about the book is that it has portrayed teenagers and their problems in a good manner. I literally felt myself saying why the hell Arlissa doing this? So, I would give the book only 4 stars. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Character Portrayal

Arlissa, our protagonist is dealing with a lot in her life. She wants love, fame, friends and family. She does not know that everything in life comes with a price. Arlissa also had a sad past which haunts her in her present life also.

Xavier is handsome with a dark past. I would not say that he is a villain but at a point of time in the story you will start hating him.

Tertiary characters are good and feel like natural teenagers.

Narrative Style

The narration is simple and simply focused on building up the plot for half of the book, Writings on the Wall- Arlissa's Story by Goddess A. Brouette. Language is simple and easy to understand. But, one thig that I did not like is that the author used the word "Shit" so many times that it became slightly annoying for me.
