Author Introduction

Dr. Ashish Rastogi is a new age writer, poet, and a medical practitioner. He is a physician by profession with a medical experience of more than twenty years. Clinical research has been one of his major areas of expertise, owing to his significant contribution of more than ten years in the field of curative service. Apart from his medical services, Dr. Rastogi is also noted for his fabulous contribution to Indian literature. He is the author of three books including The Broken Code, All the Lines to Cross, and the latest of his production, Shy. His versatility and literary mastery is highly manifested in his works of short stories, novels, and poems, and also in his other hobby of painting.

Blurb

Curly-haired, bespectacled, Dr. Akhil can replace your hip without a sweat, but he is a rambling, fidgeting fool outside the operation room--an absolute klutz--the worst qualifications to have for a man in search of love. However, one can overcome any obstacle with a bit of planning. Right?

Plan A is simple. Unfortunately, the heart-to-heart blows up in shouting hysterics, tears, and abandonment. Worry not. Time for Plan B.

A year in London, and Plan B goes belly up. Thanks to a reality dating show. Anyway, who cares. Akhil has his plant babies, Priyamvada, Ms. Fancy Pants, and Zami. They are not traitors like the stars that Akhil loves to gaze at night. The twinklers conspire to bring the dark enemy back into his orbit.

Nope, not happening. Akhil has a plan. This time a three-letter one. Plan KDA- Keep Dan Away. But it is not easy blocking "the player" hell-bent on dribbling his way past Akhil's defences one accident at a time- ready to score. Add the nosy Keely matriarch and her two sidekick clowns to flying forks, tripping legs, and an accomplished kiss coach; our Akhil is in deep trouble.

My Opinion

This will stay with me for long time

This book had such a novelty to it. The difference of the protagonists, the situations, the misunderstandings, everything seemed so organic and well written that it hardly felt like I was reading a book. The narrative flowed like a river, smooth and fluid, and the characters felt like real people whose lives have just been put down into words. That's how close to life the book was. A beautiful tale told in a wonderful way, this is one story that's going to stay with me for a long time. Kudos to the author. Will be waiting to read more from Ashish Rastogi.
