My Opinion

A Slow Fire Burning by Paula Hawkins is a fast paced whodunnit mystery thriller. I had high hopes with this book as the author's previous books were bestsellers. The plot is nice and the mystery hangs in the air while reading it. The characters are good, each having an unique identity. It was fun reading their past life and motives for murder. But after reading half the book, the plot became totally predictable. And the most important thing is that the plot missed to answer so many questions. I was literally dying to get answers for those. Although the plot is thrilling and engages the reader throughout, but I felt that the characters had more to say. I would only give 3 stars to the book.
