Author Introduction
Chattanathan D is the author of various books including the two best-selling fictions "My Rides with Sahib" and "ANJANAMMA - Igniting Aspirations". While "My Rides with Sahib" was an award-winning fiction, Anjanamma figured itself in the top 50 authors of 2022 by Delhi Wires. Chattanathan has been writing both fiction and non-fiction. He regularly writes through his LinkedIn handle and has more than a million views. "The Heel" is his third fiction and fifth book overall.
He is a topper in Journalism. In addition to being an author, he is currently the co-promoter of Arya.ag and Managing Director at Aryadhan Financial Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Prior to that, he was as group product head at ICICI Bank Ltd.

My Opinion
The Heel by Chattanathan D is a fast paced mystery and thriller, which increases its pace with every page. The plot is full of twists and turns which were really unexpected. The plot moves on with a few characters which is its plus point. Also, the language is very simple and easy to understand. The book is so gripping that I was hooked till last. The story creates an atmosphere of tension right from the start. Characters have been extensively elaborated to understand the plot correctly. Lakshmi's character was a bit more interesting. She is a free spirited girl and while reading we get many ideas like honor killing and suicide. Not only this, the plot is intertwined with some glimpses from the past life of the characters. But, it was the climax which reveals a shocking truth. Reading the book was like watching a thriller movie. But, the sad part is that it ended too soon when I was expecting more. Hope to read more from the author.
For me The Heel is an amazingly written book with a riveting climax and gripping plot. If you are a beginner and looking for something fast to read, then the book is definitely for you.
