Author Introduction

The author was a tutor when she realized the problems faced by children and made up her mind to educate teenagers and parents regarding those issues. She believes in open communication between parents and their children. She has observed different situations for six years and came up with the book "Why Your Child Lacks Behind" as her first book.

She is also interested in fiction writing. She enjoys exploring every genre in fictional writing and will bring you the most exciting stories that will leave you astonished. Her upcoming book is "Dark Side of the New Year," which is a suspense story.

My Opinion

Dark Side of the New Year by Riddhi Joshi is a suspense thriller set with some killer plot twists. The plot picks its pace right from the start till climax. Although, the writing has some glitches and the reader would feel that the author was in a hurry to end such a vast plot. Still the beginners would find it interesting and easy to relate with the characters. The story has some very good moves and there are multiple character stories going side by side. Each character was playing its own role. Andrew was a surprise package. His character was the one which was difficult to understand. Michael's character came as a sudden blow to us and his entry was revealed later. If you are looking for a short read to finish within a day, then go ahead. You will definitely enjoy this book and your whole time will spent on figuring out the plot.

I would have liked to read more of the story but may be the author had something else in mind. Some more pages and the plot would have been a killer one. This is my first time reading the author's work and definitely I would love to read more from her. The climax was satisfying. The best part of the plot was when Sarah's like takes abrupt turns and secrets are revealed. Some of them were really mind blowing. I would say the book is worth a one time read. Definitely, the book deserves 4 stars and full recommendation from me.
