Prabuddha wanted to stand face-to-face once again with a death that had occurred twenty-five years ago. Born in 1982 and a statistician by profession, Sakyajit Bhattacharya started writing in 2002, mainly in the little magazines. To date, he has written around forty short stories and nine novels, including Ekhane Derek Bose Ache, Ekanore, Shesh Mrito Pakhi, and Rakkhoser Ghorbari, an anthology of short stories. He is interested in horror, detective and weird literature along with Catholic art.

My Opinion

Ekhane Derek Bose Ache by Sakyajit Bhattacharya is a tense fictional drama exploring the depths of human nature. I read the book as a part of a buddy read and believe this was one of the most difficult books that I have ever read. The author, with his metaphorical language, narrates a story that leaves us thinking about the good and bad aspects of our society. With multiple POVs, the story takes steep turns that leave the readers in awe. The characters are a bit complex to understand, and the real truth unfolds at the very end.

And the best part was how some people are so emotional and vulnerable and how this thing changed the whole flow of the story.

But after I finished reading, I got more confused with what happened. It puts a lot of questions in a reader's mind. This book is going to stay for a long time in my mind. The book deserves 5 stars.
