My Opinion

The Body by Bethany C. Morrow felt like a supernatural story that somehow forgot to include anything truly paranormal. I kept waiting for that eerie twist or ghostly connection, but it never really showed up. While the pacing was fast, the constantly shifting timelines made the story more confusing than engaging. Instead of feeling intrigued, I found myself trying to piece together a logical explanation for everything happening. Mavis’s character, in particular, left me puzzled—her actions and motivations didn’t fully make sense to me. By the end, I was less haunted and more frustrated, still searching for answers that never quite came together.
