The whole narrative about Marlowe is so fascinating that you can't deny that he was a hugely talented writer. The book also shows us how religion shaped the Elizabethan era, and how Marlowe, with his skills, was playing with fire.
Although I was expecting more about Shakespeare, the author sticks to Marlowe and his life. If you are not acquainted with that era or are not a history buff, then the book might be a bit tough to understand. But it introduces a whole new world.
