My Opinion
*The Caretaker* by Marcus Kliewer is a creepy horror novel packed with psychological tension, folklore, cosmic terror, and grief. From beginning to end, the plot keeps you hooked, gradually building an unsettling atmosphere that makes it difficult to put the book down. Kliewer does a good job of blending different elements of horror, creating a story that is both eerie and disturbing. However, I wished there had been more explanation about the entity, as some aspects felt underdeveloped. I also found the rites a little confusing, which affected my overall understanding of certain events. Despite these drawbacks, the novel remains entertaining, and the climax is unexpectedly harsh, leaving a lasting impression on the reader.
