What finally happened to Alex? Where did Alex travelled through the portal? Where was this Kaiga?

My Opinion

Paragon is the very first book in the Dark Light Series. Not much has been described within the story. You'd not be ready to understand the story at a look. For that you simply got to undergo the complete Dark Light Series. But, I will definitely recommend this book as I found the plot a very different one. Stories about two different worlds intertwining with one another is extremely intriguing.

Character Portrayal

Alex's character in the book Paragon by D J Hoskins is a free spirited one but after he enters Kaiga, his character changes abruptly. Melissa is a weak character, in spite of being a paragon. It was somewhat irritating for me. Apart from Melissa all the tertiary characters are great.

The Antagonist are amazing and strong. They justified every bit of their character.

Narrative Style

The story, Paragon by D J Hoskins is being narrated in a linear style. The language is also simple and easy to understand.
