Author Introduction
Kevin Moore has two books coming in 2022 "The Book of Souls", a mystical ghost story and it's sequel "The Book of Demons" (think Harry Potter meets the Exorcist). "Me and My Shadow" a Children's picture book was released May 28 2021.
Moore practices Lucid Dreaming and Bardo Dreaming which helps him with his writing. He is a Yoga teacher and an Advanced Reiki Practitioner.

Jack Kelly remembers everything about his wife and children. The wonderful smell of his wife’s hair, the way she whispers to him at night. His three children running through the house, the sound of their laughter.
That was his life before the accident. His near-death experience left him in the in-between space, somewhere between this world and whatever comes next. But he recovered and woke up as his thirteen-year-old self.
The doctors tell him it is a false memory, a result of his fall and the insult to his brain from his injuries.

Jack begins his journey to find out why and how. And, in the end, he resolves to find his way back to his true existence, back to his family.
My Opinion
The Book of Souls by Kevin Moore is a horror mystery thriller. The plot starts with a very mysterious tone, but, I was really disappointed as the story advanced. I felt that it lost its original track and gone haywire. I had high hopes with the book. It is really hard to find a good horror book. Also, I was also not able to connect myself with the characters. They seem to be very different and distant. May be the book was not for me.
I would like to give the book 3 stars, and, it is totally my own opinion. You may have a different opinion after reading it. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me an opportunity to read and review the book.
