Author Introduction
Rob writes visceral, concept-driven horror stories, anchored by complex characters and offbeat narratives. Writing primarily in the body horror genre, his debut release, ‘Fleshed Out’ is a thirteen-part short story collection which explores the “fragility of flesh and blood, and the gruesome ways our bodies can twist, contort and transform into our worst nightmares.”
Rob was born in Portsmouth, UK, and received his bachelor of arts in Film Production from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham. Having trained in filmmaking, and working as a director and producer on everything from music videos to shorts to feature-length anthology films, Rob’s official writing journey started in 2020.
When not writing, he can be found watching cheesy 90s films, baking cakes and haunting local bookstores.

DOUG - A man struggling with both his marriage and his identity seeks solace in the local woods. When he sees a hand breaking up through the soil, he goes to extreme lengths to protect what matters to him most.

FUSED - After a tragic accident, a teenager finds himself plagued by grotesque visions, but the real truth is far worse than he could have ever expected.
NEOTON - A man hoping to build the next generation of lifelike virtual reality is unexpectedly locked inside the game, with repercussions that extend far beyond his online avatar...
ROE - A woman is haunted by a high-pitched, cartoonish shriek wherever she goes, and she has to hunt down the culprit to put it out of its misery once and for all.
SMOTHERED - Family relationships are tested in this grotesque tale of a man and his mother, who is suffering from a horrific, slithering deformation.
REPLACEMENT - A woman who depends on organic skin transplants has to face her biggest fears when one of the transplants gains sentience. She goes back to the factory where her whole journey began, and is horrified by the new reality ahead of her.
My Opinion
A new age horror
A wonderful horror by Rob Ulitski with marvelous detailing. Each story is definitely going to creep you out. The stories have everything from terror dreams to body horror with minute details. With each story the heat and horror intensifies. The book is so immersive and interesting that I finished it within a day. I can literally say that "Fleshed Out" is one of the best horror books of 2022.
Definitely 5 stars for this amazing book. Thanks to Rob Ulitski for giving me an opportunity to read and review the book.
