My Opinion

Ruthlessly Wonderful.......................

The Velvet Knife by Krishna Verma is an astonishingly fast paced thriller which keeps you on edge with every page you turn. The plot sucks you in right from the start which giving you a haunting atmosphere. The tension rises with each murder. The characters have been portrayed well. Initially, the plot looks like a simple whodunnit mystery, but it is much more than that. It defines relations, jealousy, anger and greed. All the characters are under suspicion which sparks interest till the end. Also, the plot has been set in Mumbai between the people with a competitive lifestyle which ultimately drives the whole scenario. The story shifts between past and present making it more interesting. 

An exciting and unputdownable book with all the clues of the murders, it felt like we are living in the story. For a moment, everything felt real. I would like to appraise author's writing style which made the book so easy to read. The best part was when the real beans are spilled in the end, truly making it a captivating read. Definitely the book deserves 5 stars and a full recommendation from me.
