📚 The first book I picked up this month had absolutely no business being so distracting. I opened it for "just one chapter" and suddenly my tea went cold, my chores vanished from existence, and my family started asking if I still lived here. 😂
Now I'm curious...
✨ What was the very first book you picked up this month, and did it behave itself or completely hijack your life?

Part of the Picador Collection, a new series showcasing the best of modern literature.
My Opinion
Station Eleven is an emotional blend of science fiction and post-apocalyptic fiction that explores humanity after a devastating disease outbreak. Rather than focusing on technology, survival action, or horror, the novel places its attention on people, relationships, memories, and the things that give life meaning. I went into this book expecting a powerful mix of several genres, but many of those elements felt only partially explored, leaving parts of the story somewhat incomplete. Even so, the emotional depth of the characters and their interconnected lives resonated with me deeply, making this a thoughtful and touching reading experience.
